You can change the movement type in the settings menu. This only applies when playing as a human.
Absolute - movement does not depend on where player is looking
Relative - movement depends on where player is looking
When playing as a dinosaur, the Relative movement type is used.
You can modify all game settings in the settings menu. It can be accessed from the main menu or in the pause menu by pressing ESC during gameplay. Disabling effects may improve performance for slower PCs.
Dinogen Arena features bonus achievements. You can find them in the profile menu.
Your health is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Avoid taking damage to regenerate your health. Some dinosaurs regenerate health at different speeds.
You can hold 2 items in your inventory. These items are displayed at the top right of the screen. Press Q to switch between them.
New items can picked up and swapped by pressing E to interact.
Weapons can be reloaded by pressing R.
Press and hold SHIFT to start sprinting. You can't fire your weapon while sprinting.
Press SPACE to use your knife attack. Very effective against close range enemies.
There are many different weapon types featured in Dinogen Arena:
Pistols
SMGs
Rifles
Shotguns
Snipers
LMGs
Launchers
Heavier weapons, like snipers and LMGs, will slow your movement speed. Lightweight weapons, like pistols and SMGs, will allow you to be much more mobile.
Bows and crossbows do extra damage to dinosaurs. Their arrows are also reusable.
Perks modify your character's skills and abilities.
Some game modes allow you to play as a dinosaur. There are several different species each with their own unique abilities.
The Compy is small, quick, and mobile. Regenerates health very quickly.
The Dilophosaurus spits toxic venom at enemies.
The Raptor is a deadly hunter with good power and speed.
The Needler fires clusters of penetrating needles at enemies.
The Allosaurus is a large but agile predator with a strong attack.
The Spinosaurus is slow but extremely powerful.
King of the dinosaurs; the T Rex is the strongest dinosaur you'll find in Dinogen Arena.
Ranked mode allows you to progress through the ranks by earning XP and leveling up.
Ranked mode features several unique games modes, each with their own objectives. Each game mode can be customized, such as the time limit, number of players, score limit, and more.
Earn XP by killing enemies, finishing game objectives, and completing challenges.
Unlock new weapons, equipment, and perks by maxing XP to level up.
Loadouts are customized classes for human players. Each loadout supports:
Primary Weapon
Secondary Weapon
Player Perk
Weapon Perk
Unlock new weapons and perks by earning XP and leveling up.
Earn bonus XP by completing challenges. Each challenge has several tiers, each with a larger XP reward. You can view challenges in the ranked menu or in the pause menu by pressing ESC during gameplay.
The ability to prestige is unlocked at level 30. Prestiging resets your ranked progress while unlocking new game modes and maps. Difficulty is also increased.
Stick with your allies in team games.
Completing objectives, like capturing and returning the flag in Capture the Flag, will earn you XP.
When low on health, find cover or fall back so you can regenerate it.
Customize your loadouts for certain game situations. For example, you may want to have an anti-dinosaur class for game modes that put you against dinosaurs.
For game modes that feature a dinosaur team, you can play as a dinosaur!
Hold out as long as you can against the endless waves of dinosaurs. As you complete each wave, dinosaurs will become stronger, faster, and more difficult.
Submit your score at the end of the game to compete in the leaderboards!
Buy new weapons, reinforcements, air support, and perks from the armory.
Earn money by killing enemies and completing waves. Kills earned by your teammates, helicopters, and auto turrets still earn you money.
Ally soldiers can be purchased from the armory. You can have up to 3 soldiers at any given time.
There are multiple types of air support that can be purchased from the armory. Only 1 form of air support can be active at any given time.
Delivers 3 ammo crates
Light assault helicopter
Heavy assault helicopter
Delivers 3 random weapon crates
Player and weapon perks can be purchased from the armory.
Your area can be fortified by an auto turret in each corner (4 total). Each auto turret can be upgraded to improve it's damage, accuracy, and rate of fire. Move up to the turret and press E to buy/upgrade.
Savage dinosaurs are a rare form of enemy that are red in appearance and move very quickly. They have much higher health than normal enemies and drop extra money when killed. Any type of dinosaur has the chance to become a savage dinosaur.
You earn 150% the money reward when you kill an enemy with your knife.
Survival mode features unique weapons not available in Ranked mode. They are the most expensive items in their class. For example, the Jackhammer shotgun is extremely effective against dinosaurs.
Earning the most amount of money should be your primary goal aside from simply surviving.
You can spend the first few waves knifing dinosaurs to rack up as much money as possible.
Consider buying the Osprey Airdrop instead of the more expensive weapons. Since you receive 3 random weapons, you might get them for a lot cheaper!
Think of your teammates, air support, and auto turrets as investments. They may cost a good amount of money to purchase, but you are rewarded money for each of their kills.
Your explosive weapons do not cause self damage in survival mode.
