Game Mechanics

General

Use the keyboard to control the player and the mouse to control your current weapon/item.

Health

Your health is displayed at the top of the HUD (green bar). When health is depleted, you will be killed. Depending on the game mode, this may end the current game. Health regenerates slowly, but can be restored quickly through the use of health packs.

XP (Experience)

Your XP (experience) is displayed at the top of the HUD (white bar). When XP is maxed out, you will be rewarded. The reward depends on the current game mode. Once maxed, your XP will return to 0. XP is gained through obtaining kills, completing objectives and completing waves.

RP (Reward Points)

Reward points (RP) are used to purchase upgrades from the store crate. They can also be sold for $1000 in-game money each.

Game Modes

There are 6 playable game modes in Deadswitch. Each mode has its own purpose or objective. Some have limits, while others will go on as long as you can survive!

Tutorials

The tutorial levels provide instruction on the features of Deadswitch, such as controls and in-game items. It's always best to start off with the tutorial levels before playing. They don't take long to complete and are very practical. There are achievements here!

Deathmatch

This is your typical Deathmatch game mode; kill the enemy to reach the score limit! You can set the game options to your liking. The first team to reach the score limit will win. If time expires, the team with the highest amount of kills will win (if they are tied, then the game will be a draw). You can also select your default weapon for Deathmatch. If you select random, you will receive a random weapon each time you respawn. Otherwise you will spawn with your weapon of choice each time. Your health regenerates at a rate of 500%.

XP reward: 500 points

Defender

The Defender game mode combines survival with tactics. You must prevent the objective from being destroyed by the enemy, but you only have 3 lives! Your health does regenerate, but you cannot gain more lives, and you cannot restore the objective's health.

The Defender game mode does not have a wave limit and will go on for as long as you can survive. Gain money and XP though getting kills and completing waves. Purchase weapons, items and upgrades from the store crate.

XP reward: 1 RP

Undead Survival

The Undead Survival game mode is your typical survival game mode. Hold out as long as possible against the limitless waves of undead creatures.

The Undead Survival game mode does not have a wave limit and will go on for as long as you can survive. Gain money and XP though getting kills and completing waves. Purchase weapons, items and upgrades from the store crate.

XP reward: 1 RP

Chaos Arena

The objective of the Chaos Arena game mode is to rack up as many kills as possible. You can take up to 3 weapons with you into the arena. Max out your XP to obtain friendly air support and a small amount of health restoration.

When your XP is maxed, there is a 25% chance that you will receive an Osprey airdrop. Otherwise you will receive an ammo airdrop.

XP reward: Health restoration + air support
